I am married (18yrs), and have two children with the same father. Both my kids boy and girl are 10 years apart. I just had difficulty conceiving. I have a teenage boy and a kindergartner girl. My son is bright, loves to play guitar and loves his sister. My daughter loves to play with her "adoptable pets", loves school and is a great cleaning helper.
I joined this group, for I have a teenager, and at the time, he was giving me "hell", and I did not know what to do. We have since corrected the problem, and during the turmoil, I experienced some really great friendship relationships. I really enjoy this group, and I hope you do to. |

I'm Kelly Lee. 42yo Christian homeschooling mom of three: girl, age 11; boy, age 16; and boy/man, age 22 (who's about to present me with my first grandson in late October!).
I love to read, be on the computer, surf the internet, do internet surveys, scrapbook, spend time with my kids, and spend time with my pets. I'm currently learning about vegetable gardening with my best friend, as we are being walked through it by her sister-in-law (we already have cucumber out our ears!).
Josh, 22, wasn't homeschooled; was raised by his dad and step-mom (who did a very good job); dropped out of school and obtained a GED at 16 (he kept telling us they weren't teaching him anything he didn't already know - and he proved that on the GED test!); and started working full-time at that age. He joined the Army National Guard last year (mainly for the college money) and may be deployed to Iraq sometime soon. He's married to long-time friend Ashley.
Daniel, 16, has been homeschooled since he was thirteen. He's very much a homebody and doesn't care to have a lot of friends to do things with. He's loves University of Oklahoma football, professional wrestling, and ..... eating! He loves animals, but said he could never be a vet because he can't stand to see them when they hurt - it makes him cry!
Rachel, is 11, going on 25. This will be her second year homeschooling. Whatever is new and current in the world of Disney tweenager entertainment is what she's interested in (think High School Musical, Hannah Montana, That's So Raven, Cheetah Girls, etc.) She's very girly - loves to shop, change clothes as many times a day as she can get away with, trying out all kinds of makeup, and experimenting with her hair. She's also very into pets, and just today talked my husband into allowing her to reserve a soon-to-be-born kitten to be our FIFTH cat! We also have a dog.
I have a degree in Family Psychology and a lot of education and experience in early childhood (birth to age eight), but these tweens and teens can really throw me for a loop sometimes! |

Hi, my name is Cheryl. From my first marriage I have a 26 yo daughter & 24 yo son; from my second marriage I have a 15 yo step-daughter & 7 yo son.
We have a yellow lab dog named Rosie Girl. My step-daughter has recently asked us if we can have a kitten but my husband & I don't really want the hassle of a kitten (been there, done that). Also, don't know how Rosie would be w/it since she wasn't raised w/cats.
My husband & I both work full-time & our son goes to public school. I often wish I could home-school however finances do not allow me to do that. My step-daughter lives w/her mother in a neighboring school district & also goes to public school.
We have two grandsons & one granddaughter that we like to have over as often as possible.
We like to do family things w/the kids, watch movies, garden, work on our house, snowmobile, fish, cook, crafts & BBQ. |
