I have been feeding my son BeechNut and Gerber meats, veg., and fruits. Since there are limited verity of meats from both brands, he is starting to get sick of them. Does anyone have any idea what is good to feed him? He only has two bottom teeth, so it can't be too chunky. |

You can cook up chicken and grate it like cheese--that way it's chunkier than regular baby food but he can't choke on it! Also you can boil squash, peas or sweet potatoes until they're really soft and mush them up, that works good. Bananas are always a favorite of my daughter because they're soft as well. I also browned ground turkey and then put it in a chopper to make it more fine. Hope this helps! |

Try spaghetti with marinara sauce (or prepare your own non tomato sauce), butter with parmessan cheese. Or noodles (your preference) with very small pieces of zucchini, corn.

Meatloaf that is cooked really well is a favorite of my son's but it has to be cooked really well and have some moisture to it so I don't use a real lean beef when I cook it or it is really dry, it basically melts in his mouth very easy to chew if cooked the right way, and you can hide some veggies in it like carrots |

I tried making homemade baby food for the first time yesterday. I mixed mango and banana. He wasn't too pleased with it. :(
Today, I tried chicken with zucchini and green beans. He really liked it but after about 5 spoon full, I had to struggle to get him to eat more. The most I can get him to eat is about 2 oz. He typically has 4 oz of baby food in a jar. Is homemade baby food more filling than what is in the jar? |

Oh, and I forgot how messy it was. He got chicken all over his hair, face, bib, and floor. YIKES! :) |
