It's hard to say because every kid is so different.  At 14  months my daughter was becoming much more active and started trying to climb up on stuff - she had been walking since about 11 months.  She was still eating pretty mushy food because no molar yet, but they starting coming in at around 15 months.  She was also saying quite a few words and names, but no phrases yet.  Like I said every kid is different, so you really have to look at what they have been doing and just make sure they are still progressing.  Good luck with your little guy!

My daughter seems similar to Joann's.  She was walking and climbing on the couch and up the stairs.  She was able to say several words.  She enjoyed books and playing with toys of course.  She was eating most foods that I felt she could handle.  We would give her things that we had for dinner and just cut them into small pieces.  It's kind of hard to remember exactly what she was doing at that time, she has learned to much since then.  She is now 20 months.  Good luck,  I hope that everything is ok.

I'd suggest reading babycenter.com

They have good info from preganancy to children's development/milestones.
