My 7 week old only wants to sleep next to me. Whenever I put her in her cradle or crib she cries. I don't mind her sleeping with me but am nervous that it isn't that safe. Any thoughts on how to get her to stay in her cradle? |

We had the same problem with our son. He would sleep in his bassinet, but out of no where he just refuse to sleep by himself anymore. The only way he will sleep was either on my husband's chest or between us. For the first two month, we had him sleep between us with a pillow on top of a boppy. We have discovered that he wouldn't sleep by himself when he is in discomfort. When he was little over 3 months and recovered from colic, he automatically started to sleep by himself in his room. Maybe she is in discomfort about something? |

My daughter was the same way, so dad slept in another room so he could go to work and me and her slept in the bed. I had her on a wedge for a little while so that I wouldn't roll over on her. But the truth is, I am sure you have discovered that you sleep lighter now that you have a baby, so unless you are so asleep I wouldn't worry. She is nearly 3 months now and we have just started to work her into her pack and play next to the bed. But, she is still a snuggle bunny and sleeps better when she knows I am in the room too. Remember, they spent nearly 10 months in you so it will take awhile. I have found I have to do what works and keeps her happy no matter what the books and doctors recommend. Just work on it little bits at a time, and you will be fine. Best of luck! Hang in there. |

My daughter was the exact same way. I tried to get her to sleep on her own but ended up letting her sleep in the boppy inbetween us in bed. When she napped during the day I would put her down so she got used to sleeping on her own. She eventually did, but would only sleep in the boppy after that. Dont worry, she will grow out of it :) |
