Im new to this but have been raising my 10 yr old on my own the whole time.  My neighbors daughter in law just came to me asking questions like Her husband left her and her daughter  to live at her in laws and he moved out her family is out of state and she dont know where to start to get help to get out on their own.  Ive started my life over 10 yrs ago and know things have changed can anyone give any ideas of where she should start

She can look into social serives and welfare organizations that provide support.  By law, her husband should provide her with alimoney and  child .   My daugther's school offers financial aid programs for lunch and  camp.  Good luck
