Haven't really felt the baby move yet....

Hello everyone, I am Crystal. I am an expecting mom about 18 weeks into my first pregnancy. I believe that i should be feeling somewhat of a movement by now but I have not really felt anything substantially noticeable. At night i feel a little like (small boat, big ocean) feel and I am not sure if that is the baby.

At what week did you "really" notice the distinctive feeling of the baby?

i think it depends on the person. ANd when its your first child its hard to tell when it is the baby. Usually the baby is more active in the evening. Its hard to describe what it feels like when they kick but I wish i could help more. Talk with your doc and as long as they say your ok try not to worry. Easier said then done.

Hope this helps

P.S try drinking really cold water. They usually squirm a lot when you do that

I started feeling little butterfly like feelings in my stomach around 17 weeks. And then around 20 weeks it felt like a little pulse in my lower stomach and then from then on it just turned into kicks and now he has no room to kick you can just see him move across my stomach. He always moves more if I drink some apple juice or water and lay on my left side.
