Feeding

I have a new two week old son and am trying to figure out the whole feeding thing.  He latches on great and eats a lot, so much so that the dr. actually said he may be gaining too much weight and getting acid reflux because of it.  My question is how do I not feed him when he seems so hungry. He is giving all the hunger cues and nothing except feeding him seems to calm him down.  Should I just try to feed him for less time?  This seems like it could be a problem, because he will just continually snack, which makes it hard on me.  Any advice?  I've read the Baby Wise and other philosophies out there, but the one consistent message seems to be to feed on demand in the early days. hmmm.  Just a bit confused now...

Thanks,

Ciara

The website kellymom.com really helped me - the women in the forum were really helpful, and there are some lactation consultants on there too.  Good luck, I remember when things were tough at first!
