Hi Everyone
My name is Imani and I'm the mother of an eight and half old girl. Love her dearly since she is my only. I am a Pre-School Teacher and the majority of my energy goes into my work which leaves on fumes when I come home to her. I do the job because I love working with children, its one of the most stressless jobs to have. My stress has started with a new child who came into the school in January of this year. She does follow directions very well, and when you tell her something she says, 'ok, I will' before you finish the sentence. She hits my other students for no reason at all. honestly if it was my school she would have been gone but that is not the case. My boss does not want to let her go because if she went anywhere else she would be labeled ADHD/ADD and put on medication. I understand her reasoning and I have done everything to deal with this child but its leaving me stressed and on fumes, and my job is not as fun as it used to be because now I'm faced with a challenge and I feel stuck. This is home daycare.
The nerves in my right eye have started jumping when I feel myself getting overly stressed out. I take it out on my eight year old when I know I should not. She'll ask me how my day went and I'll just stay quiet and look at her. Then she'll say 'oh was so and so there today'. I'll say just do what you are supposed to so I don't have to take out my big voice.
