Sleep problem for 19month old

Hi,

We just got back from two trips - one to Boston to visit the paternal grand parents and 2 weeks from returning home, I flew to Singapore with our 18 month old son (without Daddy as he had to work, overlook renovation in the house, pet sit, etc etc)..

When we were in Singapore, we stayed with my parents and had to sleep in the same queen sized bed with Benjamin. He had always have his own bed up to this point. Since we got home, he had refused to sleep in his own room without either of us in the room with him.. and there had been so many night wakings and one night he actually whine (not screaming) for almost 6 hours straight! Its been 7 days since our return.. we had also been down with flu/cold since..

I am now almost 6 months pregnant with a 2nd baby and since we got back, we have a new crib set up in our room and Benjamin saw that.. we tried to tell him since we knew we were expecting, that he is going to have a baby sister and someone to play with.. so I don't know if that is starting to sink in or he is just been demanding or what is up but we are in need of some sleep and to be in our room! HELP!!

ps: Prior to the two trips, he had been a pretty good sleeper with a solid bedtime routine which we had been keeping to, even during those trip..
