So I am super new on this site, learning as I go, so any tips or advise is extremly welcome.

 I am married to a wonderful man, who is 8 years into a 20 year career with the AIrforce. We have two little boys ages 3 and 1,two dogs, and some fish. We have been stationed at Nellis AFB for about 2 years and I am not embracing the time being spent here in Vegas, and it is getting to the point where I almost hatee it here.Me and my kids are soooo bored during the day.. and well, I want to change that, So ,I am outreaching to other military families, thinking they may be dealing with the same issues as my family.

 My biggest issues are well lets see... My life almost completly revolves around my kids, and the rest is controlled by my husband's job, I don't really have alot of friends, and meeting cool people with kids,that arent really weird is immpossible. ...not knowing the cool spots to hang out with your kids, cause it is LAS FREAKIN VEGAS, I hate being in the dessert, I reallllly miss living close to the Water, and the weather here is gross...it goes from one extreme to the next. Then there is living really far from "HOME" (Louisiana) missing family, and friends, bla bla bla....BUT until Uncle Sam gives us Orders to someplace eles, This is Home!

  So yeah, I guess thats it, My family has become homebodies, we LOVE movies, and just hangin out, Xbox, Wii, We do like to go out and do stuff tho, when time and money allow... Preferebaly inexpensive fun things, I work at the Cannery and so I get 20%off movie tickets and resteraunts, concerts etc so we go there, But I wanna get out and find some cool stuff, like Nature parks, and maybe go to the lake, the mountain, something...

 I am open to any and all ideas as to group activites, and things to do out here in Vegas for families, maybe meeting up and hanging out for playdates and parties, friends for my kids, that sort of thing I'm looking forward to hearing how other people deal with military life and sharing ideas on kid stuff..and learning how to be "cool" again and make friends and have a social life for me and my family.
