Thinking About Having Another
Public online group

Hi everyone
Hi my name is Anne and I just joined the group. My husband and I have a 16 month old son and are trying for number two. I am just looking to talk to people who are in the same shoes as I am. Would love to hear from you.

Hi Anne,
My name is Allison. You sound like me. My son, Jackson, is 14 months old, and my husband and I are trying for number two, too : ) I'm a stay at home mom / work at home mom. I really want my son and my next child to be close in age, however, Jackson is a handful so I sometimes wonder what I'm getting myself into!

Hi Allison I was glad to hear that someone else is feeling the same way as me. My son Andrew can also be a handful sometimes especially now that he is on the go all the time. I also wonder how I will do it with having two. I keep telling myself that there are so many families out there that have more then one child and they have survived. That is what keeps me thinking positive. I worked as a teacher at a daycare for 13 years watching 12-13 toddlers you would think i could handle 2. It is a totally different ball game being a stay at home mom. I never thought it would be this much work.

Hi, my name is Jamie and I have an 18 month old daughter. My husband and I aren't trying yet, but it will probably be in the near future. I have to say I am nervous too. Natalie is a good baby, but sometimes she makes me want to scream and I wonder how will I handle two of them?! I also get scared financially. I am a stay at home mom as well and it has been hard at times.

Hi Jamie I hear you about it being tough finacially because we are going through the same thing. I am always looking for ways to make money but still be with my son. My husband questions whether we can really afford another child but in my mind there is always a way to make things work. We have been trying for a couple months now and boy is it frustrating. I am ready for number two to come along. My son is really into babies and think a sibling would be nice for him.

Hey Anne,
I agree, it would be nice to have another one. There would always be a playmate around and you wouldn't have to worry if you had time (or energy) to make it to a playdate! HA-HA! I have also thought about how we would be financially with another baby, but I guess you are right...somehow you just make it work. Right now I work part time at night at a Yankee Candle store for some extra money. That helps a little bit with bills, is sometimes fun and is a way to get out of the house for a while! But I would love to find a way to make some money from home.

Jamie have you thought about watching children in your home? That would be a great way to make some extra money and also still be with your child. I posted on craigslist.com a posting to find a job watching children in my home. You should check it out.
