Hi girls.  I am from Bloomington, IN, which is pretty far from you Flordia girls and I am not sure where Portage is.  I am about an hour south of Indy.  I would enjoy being friends with all of you.  Just because we live close by doesn't mean we still can't chat, vent, and get advice.

YES POTTY TRAINING IS HARD. BUT ONCE THEY GET THE HANG OF IT THEY WILL KEEP IT GOING. JUST MAKE IT FUN FOR HER. MAKE IT A GAME. SHE WILL GET IT.

Cool thanks Jessica! I bought her a cute Dora potty seat and lots of books. Maybe it's my approach haha! I ask her if she needs to go potty and she says no everytime. Tomorrow I will try something different and fun!

Thanks girls, it will be nice to have another friend/mom to talk to about things.  Good luck Michelle with the potty training.  I am not really looking forward to that.  I think I mostly leave that to my husband..lol.  I hope Jessica's suggestion help.  Keep us posted on how that works out for you.

hi jessica, sorry to just now getting back with you. (bussy as always!) i am not sure where ocala,fl. is either, but i am in the next city over from tampa.

i am potty training my three year old son write now, and i always have a routine/ then i make a big fuss/ great job/ do our "---- sat/went pee pee on the potty/yeay!!!!!!!!!!! dance. he loves all the praise. it makes it to where he loves to go potty!!!!!!!!!!! i have heard from other parents the sometimes stickers/ or what ever the child usually finds enjoyable, can work too.

Well, yesterday we had one of Ellie's little friends over. He has started potty training too. I asked him if he needed to go potty and he ran to the bathroom! Of course, Ellie followed and had to try too. Maybe she just needs a buddy haha!

Teresa I will try the potty dance this afternoon. She loves music and there is a song called the Potty Dance. Maybe I can download it today. It is great to be a mom in this day and age. I am sure my mother did not have it as easy.

We went to the park this morning. That was fun. She loves to slide and unfortunately the swings were wet so we didn't get to do that. This afternoon I will take her for a walk. She really likes it outside. Our weather has been amazing.

Okay, I will end for now. Please let me know what you guys do to keep busy during the day. We are always up for new things!

hi michelle, good to hear from ya.  there are alot of fun things i do for fun with my son, especially since we live in fl/ and in a city.there are a million parks around here with different enjoyable features. we sometimes go to the beach/church/just play with toys outside/ride bikes/, we also go to one of our local malls,(there have a "kiddy" play area there)/ theres the pier/aquariums/play areas at fast food places/and last, but not least, there is a childrens science/exsploration center. i probably forgot somethings. we have fun. i am not much into the library like some parents are. im not into books much.  i am glad your daughter had a friend to go "potty" with; thats generally how my son got really into going potty to, is at his preschool/with his friends. he definately needed the help of peer preasure. i hope she continues in going now.? good luck!
