I just bought a new baby carrier that is suppose to support babies up to 45 lbs. When I had my son in the carrier, his legs turn very red and purple within 5 minutes. Does anyone ever encounter this with your baby? |

Hi Kathy, How much does your baby weigh? I had to put Emilie facing forward at about 7 months, she was too big for the carrier. Once they are at 20 lbs this is ok. If his legs are turning color it is cutting off the circulation to his legs and this is very bad. |

I found that using a hip sling works well for my son. It holds your baby against you just as you would if you were holding him on your hip while allowing you more freedom with your hands. It also supports him more like he's sitting, which he prefers, and not hanging (for lack of a better word). However, I am more limited on what I can do with him in it compared to a front or back carrier. |

I found that the moby gives the best support and is most comfortable for both baby and me, plus it's so versatile, and my daughter loves it. I would definately return that carrier, it sounds unsafe. |

What brand of baby carrier did you buy? Is it front facing, or the one that goes on your back? He may be too small for it yet and not fitting in there properly, or the leg holes are just too small. |

Kathy, I just got a new car seat for my baby... It is the cosco alpha and omega. You can use it from birth to the end of car seat usage. It can work faceing back and front. You will need to put something underneath to prop it a little to rear face it...I used one of those round pool foam things, cut it in half and it worked great. My best friend told me about the car seat, it is fabulous for $150... you wont need another one, unless you have another child. =) |

My baby weighs close to 21 lbs. I tried him in the front. This carrier allows you to carry your child in the front, hip, or back. I'll have to see how he fits on my hip. I'm not even going to bother with the back; the direction look so complicated, I'll probably drop him or get really annoyed attempting this.
I contacted the manufacture, and they suggested couple of things, which I'll try. I'll have to watch the video again. |
