Hello! Please check out my new group. I'm new at this, so please bear with me.
As a busy, new, full-time working mom, I have found it difficult to find parents in a similar situation. It's an interesting line to walk to balance parenting and work outside of the home. Often, those of us who have this line face many challenges to making this work successfully. I'm hoping to bring together parents who have experience, as well as those who are new to this, so that we can share ideas about how to manage our time, network about child care options, find opportunities for our little ones to get out and socialize (as well as ourselves!), and offer space for parents who may be experiencing stress with having a child with mild to moderate medical issues. My 9-month-old has GER. It's not very serious, but, nevertheless, it's a health concern that is an additional stressor that affects her and us (myself and husband). I'm usually quite busy, as all of you are, so, it would be a nice diversion to be busy with something fun. Because I have a busy schedule, I'm not always able to connect online on a daily basis, but I promise to check in a few times a week. I have a background in child development (I'm an art therapist and I work with kids and families at a social service agency), and I can try to answer some questions, if anyone has any. So far, I have begun a list of resources for child care and early education. Please check it out - it's very small, but it's just the beginning. I would like to add more, with your input. You are the experts out there, please spread your knowledege!
I hope to meet some great parents with wonderful children! |
