I am a 51yr old mother of a 9yr old daughter, I know the title said small children but believe me sometimes she acts like one. lol   I am trying to connect with other older mothers in my area to discuss some of the hardships of doing this all over again.  Or if anyone out there has the same situation we could relate to one another.

The whole attitude thing, does your grand-daughter have it also? I am hoping it's just the age but I sure don't remember it with my older child but that has been along time ago.

oh my gosh i just realized I never responded to you.  I am SO sorry.  We've had a few troubles of our own here lately and it slipped past my email.  I'm not very good at email.  I'd be happy to talk to you via phone sometime.  I think your 9 year old is probably very normal.  Just when I thought they should seek serious evaluation for our grand-daughter, she started coming around.  I think it's harder when we are older, because we just don't have the stamina, and there aren't as many friends around to compare with.
