Absoultely
I remember my son doing thing like that. He is 2 1/2 now and of course doesnt do that anymore. But I even have pics of him doing that. So dont worry it is all normal and as long as he is still eating have no fear :)

I am glad my little guy isn't the only one doing this :) He is also 8 months old and can almost fit both fists in his mouth. That's my boy!

My 8 month old daughter does the same thing...I think its the whole "oral" thing!

Any of you tried the puffs yet? My daughter does not have teeth yet, and I know that they dissolve, but I'm worried! She's happy on the cereal and solids and my breast milk so I dont want to rush things or rock the boat...plus i feel i'd rather keep her entertained with a toy then with a snack...

What are the puffs?

My daughter does the that still and she is 11 months now. I started giving her more regular food and graduates wagon wheels. Try those. It also helps when she gets cranky.

Oh yes the puffs from Gerber are great obviously my son is too old now but when he was about 7 months or maybe sooner he started with those it is so important to try to get them to notice different textures in there mouth because come sooner then later the formula and breastmilk with stop.

Thanks ladies...I never thought about it being a learning thing...I was just concerned with her choking. But I will cut them too until i feel comfortable.
