is it o.k if an 18 month only eats fruit for breakfast. Lately my daughter has not been eating good and she has been mainly wanting fruit. i try to get her to eat something else but if she doesnt but will only eat fruit is that enough? |

If she is eating other foods the rest of the day? Maybe she is not very hungry in the morning. |

Kids are often picky eaters. Toddlers like to assert their independence, and meals are one way to do that. Don't make too big a deal of it or it will turn into a power struggle. Continue to offer other foods, let her make choices about what she eats (within reason) and try to make it as appealing and fun for her as you can. She will come around, but it has to be her decision.
In the meantime, as long as she is eating a variety of other foods throughout the day, or over the course of a few days, she is fine. If you worry about her missing nutrients talk to her pediatrician about giving her a multivitamin. |

I think this is great and fine as long as she is not having diarra or getting sick. This way you really are ruling out any food that she may be alerigic to. I personally will add a side of a small bowl of cereal or oatmeal. |

Natasha, That has been one of my worries too. My LO (14mo) is very discriminating (ie: picky) with what she eats. She would eat a little of whatever I offered then signed "all done." I started then offering her something else & she would usually eat it.
She is happy & healthy so I try not to worry. :) |
