Mothers and More
Public group from Martinsville, IN

This sounds amazing!!

My name is Nikki Byers.  I am a 27 year old mom of a 2 1/2 year old boy Blake.  Blake is an only child who's closest cousins are 11 and 13.  He also stays with my mom during the day while I teach 1st grade in Indianapolis.  I'm really lucky she can do this but the downside is Blake doesn't interact with other kids.

I would love to find a group where he can play with kids his age and I can talk to adults!! :)  I hope this is the group!!

Hi Nikki!

We would love to have you check out our group.  We have playgroups, Moms Night Out, Moms Coffee Break, and occasionally family get-togethers.

We have a couple of kids Blake's age.  My youngest just turned three in December.  There is another little girl who will be three in September.

Our website is www.morgancountymm.webs.com. Check it out and let me know if you need any other information.

I checked out the website and I have a couple of questions/ comments.  First I'm just curious as to what the $45 membership fee covers.

I'd also like to ask about playdates.  I work as a 1st grade teacher in Indianapolis.  So Monday- Friday I'm unavailable until 5.  I completely understanding activities during the day as I'm sure everyone else gets to stay at home with their kids.  I just wondered if there are any kid activities in evenings or weekends??

We do have evening playgroups, usually in the form of pitch-in dinners.  We also sometimes have family get-togethers on the weekends. We try to plan things around what people want to do, so if someone suggests something they would like to see us do, we try it and see how it works. :)

Mothers and More is a National Organization, and the $45 membership fee is set by them.  Part of the money comes back to support our local chapter, and part goes to support the services offered by the national organization- online services- e-mail loops, online chats, message boards, The Forum- a bimonthly publication focusing on work and family issues, survival techniques for life at home and in the workplace, ideas for personal enrichment, book reviews, author interviews, etc.  Check out the link to the national website that is on our website to see what else the organization offers.

You are welcome to come and check out some activities before deciding if you want to become a member.
