Hi! My name is Jackie, and I work part-time so I can stay home during the day with my 13-month-old son. We also have another boy due in June! We just moved to Wheat Ridge, and I am finding that I don't have as much in common with my single or childless married friends as I used to. I would love to meet new friends and let my son play with other children to get him ready for the new baby. We love to go on walks (although my pace is getting a little slower as my belly grows!), attend storytimes (we haven't hit up the Arvada or Wheat Ridge libraries yet, but hope to soon), and we have memberships to the Denver Zoo and Children's Museum.

Try Arvada Mommies and Munchkins at meetup.com.  It might be a great club for you.  If you need a referral to get in let me know.  It is $5 every six months and offers a wide variety of activities.  You may also want to try accessing the cultural passes the Jefferson County library offers to add some more activities for your son.
