my daughter is leaving

Hi I have a daughter going off to college in the fall. She is graduating from high school this summer. She has been my whole world all these years. I was a single mother until three years ago  when I remarried. I love her to death and I am anxious about her going to college and leaving home. I feel lost already and she hasn't even left yet. I would appreciate any advice anyone would like to give me. I could really use some cheer too. I am depressed over this.

Please help

Thank you

Alice

Your daughter is leaving your house not your life. The next step to being a great mother is knowing when to let go. You obviously have done a great job in raising her. I know there have been some things that you have put off doing, to raise her. So get busy. Being a mother is only one part of you. Now you have the opportunity to explore the gifts and talents they may be laying dormant in you. Your life, desires, wants and needs can now be tended to without putting someone else first. Good Luck I wish you alll the best.
