School of Fish to Launch Group and Private Swimming Lessons on April 3, 2010
A seasoned team of American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors will launch The School of Fish (SOF) Aquatics Program on Saturday, April 3, 2010. The SOF will offer group and private swimming lessons to all ages and skill levels at the Lakewood Ranch Athletic Center's heated outdoor pool, or in the privacy of your own home. SOF will feature nine distinct programs to meet specific needs of each age group, skill level and individual goal: Early Childhood (6 months to 3 years old), Pre-Kindergarten to Junior (3 to 11 years old) and Pre-Teen, Teen and Adult (11 to 18 years, and adults all ages).

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: "Miss Maria" Barringhaus has more than 20 years experience in parent-child swim instruction. In addition to her Red Cross WSI certification, she has helped many students overcome aquaphobia, instructed children with special needs (Manasota BUDS) and is a certified elementary education teacher/tutor for grades K-6th.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: "Miss Casey" Augeri has 17 years of competitive swimming experience. She swam all throughout grade and high school for the North Palm Beach Country Club. During college she swam on an intramural team, now she is on a local YMCA Masters team. She has been a lifeguard for 7 years and is SCUBA certified. This girl loves the water! She has taught all levels of swimming lessons, from blowing bubbles to stroke technique. She's passionate about swimming and loves kids!
