My sons go to Bloomfield Maples Montessori and every year they have an excellent speaker series on parenting. There is no charge for the series but they do need to RSVP at (248)661-0910 as soon as possible before they are full. Children are welcome.

The parenting speaker series starts on:

Monday, March 8th at 4:00 PM and it covers
•The needs of the young child
•The various types of parenting styles
• Create an “ideal” physical and psychological environment in the home
•“Peaceful” parenting

The second one is “Nutrition For The Young Child”
Wednesday, March 24th 7:00 PM
•Less is more
•Tips for pleasantmeal times
•A lifetime of healthy eating habits
•Shopping, cooking and eating together

The third one is Teaching Parents How To Teach Children”
Wednesday, April 28th 7:00 PM

•You can ‘teach’ anywhere (car, beach, home)
•The right attitude for teaching and learning
•A regular and peaceful routine for daily homework
•Be a parent/guide not a teacher
