| Has anyone used a temporal artery thermometer? I was wondering if they are accurate and worth spending the money on. We have been using a rectal thermometer, but it is getting too difficult now because my son won't stay still. |

| I think u mean th eone u stoke across the forehead right ? Cost about 45 bucks. It is so accurate my son has had a few fevers and it was right on. It is so easy compared to other ways /a must have !! |

| I haved used one since my son was newborn, and I love it (as much as you can love a thermometer). Now that he is more aware of everything that goes on, he finds it fascinating when I use it on him. Plus, since kids only get older, it will be usable for a long time... I use it for my husband and I too. |

| Hey Laura...what is the brand name of the thermometer? I had read an article about them and the concept is wonderful! I would love something that just goes across the forehead. |

Let me run and check but i know i got is at babies r us and they also have it cheaper at walmart

| Thanks, you guys sold me on it. I've seen them used in the hospital and at the doctor's office, but I wasn't sure if the ones sold in stores were as good. I'm definitely going to get one! |

| I just ordered one through Walmart.com. It was only $29.92 because I chose to have it shipped to the Walmart near me and pick it up. Great deal. It costs $49.99 at Babies-R-Us! |

| I just got the thermometer today. I practiced using it a few times on myself and my son. I can't believe how fast and easy it is. I wish I had this a long time ago! |

| My husband participated in a medical field study using those, and was accurate 99% of the time. He is a paramedic, and the state had a study and asked them to use the ones from Walmart!!!! How cool is that!!!!! |

| Yes, we have one and it is extremely accurate! It is definitely worth spending the money on. My son is still very young but he hates having his temperature taken in his armpit or ear. He doesn't mind when I use the temporal thermometer though. |
