My son is 2 and im having THE hardest time getting him to take naps! Is he at the age where he doesnt need naps as much or any more?

As a mom who loved the naps I am sad to say that your son is probably ready to give them up.  My son gave them up right before his 2nd birthday.  Needless to say it was an adjustment period for us both.

Not to say that your son may not take the occassional nap depending on how active he is on any given day but the nap every day is probably done.

Yea he takes naps every once in awhile but not as much as he used to lol! But he wakes up much earlier now? Im not sure why he does that, he goes to bed around 9 sometimes 8:30 and he usually wakes up at 9 with his dad, but now he wakes up at 4 am!!
