I am a single mother in the Airforce. I understand about deployments and everything the military lifestyle offers. You are right about the advice...people do not understand the hardship a military family goes through when one or both parents are deployed.

Yeah the deployments,but also the moving and what it does to a child. the consistant change is hard and the move is to much for a small child to handle.Then while we all adjust to the new place it seems to be harder for our baby.my family seems to have all this advice to help but have no clue what we deal with.Sometimes I wish they could be in my shoes! And I don't mean to complain because I know it is hard for a single mother, more so for single parents!!! I truly sympthize with you..I was raised by a single mother and was living as one for a few months.
