working sahm
I was wondering if there are any sahm's who work from home? and if so how do you find the time, what do you do and how old our your children? The reason why I'm asking is because I'm tired of not having my own money and am thinking about starting my own business and want to know if this is possible. I know I hardly have any free time as it is now having a 5 1/2 month old, but I have to do something. Any advice is welcomed.

Thanks

I am a STAH mom and I have two small businesses. I started my own photography business and I am a Local Coordinator for Au Pair USA (www.aupairusa.org). My children are ages 6 and 4. The 6 year old will be in school all day starting in Aug. and my 4 year old will be in school for 2.5 hours everyday. Those are the hours that I will work. I also get up at 6am twice per week while everyone is asleep and work for 1 hour. Sometimes after they are in bed, I will work. My husband is very supportive and will handle the kids when I have something to do (weekends and nights). If you decide to start your own business, you could start out slow and build it as your baby gets older. Or at this point you can do research and start preparing your business, so when your little one is in school, you will have everything in place to start. Good luck.

Thanks Kara,
That's what I was thinking I would do is work during nap times and while everyone else is in bed. I hope my husband will be as supportive as yours' is. Right now he is complaining that he needs some more "down time" from work", give me a break, our job never stops!!!
Thanks again

Hello,

I am a stay at home mother and Independent Consultant for a great company. They focus on botanically based skin care, baby skin care, sun protection, weight loss, make up etc. All products are pure, safe and beneficial. They are also never tested on animals nor do they use any animal products or by-products. These cutting edge products are "5 years ahead of what anyone else is doing", especially in anti-aging and health & wellness.

We were recently featured in Success From Home Magazine. The company is growing rapidly and it is a great time to get involved. In the last two years there has been a 400% growth in the company which makes the business opportunity absolutely extraordinary, as well as a testament to the outstanding products. Recently awarded for Best Training by the Direct Selling Association, the company also has one of the most generous compensation plans of its kind in the nation.

If you are interested in learning more about these wonderful products or the work from home opportunity, please contact me at any time at cmcdonald47@tampabay.rr.com and I can direct you to the company website.

This is truly a wonderful company to be associated with.

My son is 11 months old and I am able to run this business from home. I do a lot of work during naps and also with him. The company is very "mom" friendly. I work with several other stay at home moms. It has been a great fit for us.

Sincerely,
Charlene McDonald

I am thinking of starting my Pampered Chef business out of my house. I have a 5 month old boy and he hardly naps. I think it will work plus the extra money will help finish the basement !!!! I guess I will have to be creative with my time. With the busines I want to do alot of your work is shows in the evening and weekends. And I found out you can try recepies on your family and get a tax write off ( so I can practice at dinner) I plan to start is Sept when my 10 year old is back in school. I guess if you really want to do something you will make it work. For me it will be better than working full time.
