first time on my own

I just recently moved out of my parents house and trying to get into the swing of things and get things going.I'm wondering what is some good advice to make it easier?

Congrats on your little one and congrats on getting out on your own! It is definitely a challenge being a parent - I can't imagine trying to do it as a single parent. I would say just try to get into a strict routine with your little one and that will help her transition more easily. As long as she's happy you will be too! Also, make sure you're getting out of the house - it can drive you crazy to sit in the house alone with a baby all day long! Even just some window shopping at the mall will help. Is there anything specific you're having trouble adjusting to?

Thank you for the reply.I appreciate it.What is your advice on daycare? How do you go about dealing with the high cost and when you're looking for a job like i am how do you go about job searching when you have a little one?

Do you have someone who can watch your baby while you're job hunting? Like maybe your parents? You may want to try going into a local employment agency - I've had luck finding jobs through them before.

As far as daycare, we actually chose an in-home babysitter.  We use a lady who just keeps a handful of kids in her own home.  It's much cheaper than a daycare and each kid gets more one-on-one attention.  Someone referred us to this lady so we were luck to find her.  Maybe you can ask around with some of your friends and family to find a good sitter?  Or find a local Mom's group and ask there.
