New to this site

Hello there my name is Mel. I'm new to this site & I am hopeing to meet other moms to chat with. I have one daughter Lilly who is 24 months old & I'm a stay at home mom to her. We live in Maine & currently the winter has gotten both of us down so we are looking for new creative things to do since we're stuck home inside a lot. Well it's nice to meet you & I look forward to getting to know some of you :)

Not usually it just depends sometimes it is and sometimes not it just depends on what kind of question you ask.

Hi Mel!

I hear ya on the indoor boredom. I live in Texas so are winters are usually really mild but this year has been sooo cold and snowy (at least for us). The weather was actually nice today and my daughter was ready to bust out the pool as well as plant flowers : ) Not nice enough for those yet but I could tell she was deperately missing the outdoors. I have 2 daughters and love being home with them. My oldest is Landri and she is 4, and my youngest is Eliza and she is 16 months.

We have been playing lots of board games and crafts (already making Valentines cards). Plus I have a large castle shaped pop up tent that always makes for fun in the living room. We play dress up and either have picnincs in it or we get out the sleeping bags for a "sleepover". The other thing we sometimes do is put the girls suits on and let them splash in the bath. We pretend it's a pool. We have also had fun going to the mall indoor playground and local story times.

A few times we have gotten large poster board as a "lake" (she can color it blue as one activity) and then used sticks from the yard and cut out fish shapes on card stock(with small magnets on them). We used string on the sticks with small magnets at the ends and you use them to "go fishing" on the lake. I know it sounds like work but it isn't too bad and you can use it over again. Plus she will like that she made it : ) Hope these help a little.

We can be friends if you want!
