40+ parents of small children

I like to say that I am a "young mom" just because I have young kids (here you go!). I am really lucky to live in a neighbourhood were most of the moms are around my age but I am sure it is not always the case. What has been your experience in terms of relating to younger moms? Do you think parenting style is different? Vero

Hi! My neighborhood is full of young parents but that really has not been a issue so far that is. In relating to younger moms, I haven't come across issues with my age so far as just different parenting styles. I think the difference will probably come more when Emmie goes to school. The only difference I have with younger moms I is more on a social level I guess. I don't know now that I think about it. This is a good post.

thanks Vero! You were right I will enjoy this group! In response to your post,my experience relating to younger moms is on the social level as well. I find that my interests are just different now. I was first a mom at 21 and I was still all about ME and now it is about my son. I can say that I truly enjoy him and am just enjoying being a mom more at this stage in my life Any one feel the same ? Kimberli
