New to the group here -

I'm a first time stay at home mom, later in life (age 43) with an 18 month old son by adoption. New to my area, checking out different sites and moms groups hoping to connect with someone near my age, who is also a stay at home mom for friendship and support.

After working full time for 20+ years and moving far from family/friends and staying home - I'm still in a state of shock from all the change and trying hard to adjust...finding it tough some days, being that I'm alone with no one locally for friendship or babysitting, etc.

Anyone from Northwest IL - near McHenry County or surrounding areas?
