Hi all,

My husband and I have been living in the East Cambridge/Inman Sq area for over two years now and love it. Now we are looking forward to welcoming our first baby in April. We are both professionals in the health care and education fields and are interested in learning more about the parenting community in our area. We are also looking into child care options for late-summer and welcome any suggestions/referrals. We are focusing right now on family day-care settings and nanny-share opportunities.

My husband and I also live near Inman Square (Norfolk, between Broadway and Hampshire) and just welcomed our daughter in mid-December.  We are leaning towards a nanny-sharing situation for child care.  My husband, a psychologist, will be a stay-at-home dad until July at which point we'll need to start child care (I'm an ob/gyn at Tufts and will be returning to work in mid-February, unfortunately!).  We have a safe, smoke-free home with a side yard, and a sweet, gentle (and hypoallergenic!) Goldendoodle.  If you are still interested in potentially nanny-sharing, perhaps we should all meet for coffee in Inman?

I just moved to the area last week and live near both of you (between Inman and Harvard Sq). My husband is finishing his doctorate and TFing and I'm a part-time student. However, both of us are off this summer and I will be available for some childcare/swapping if you'd like (and will have a flexible schedule into the fall and winter). I have a 20 mo. old sweet boy and am expecting another boy at the end of April. We have a spacious apartment with plenty of baby activities (safe).
