Hi Joann, I am sure I will get there too. Rght now my son#2 doesn't sleep through the night so it's not fun...Hoping it will change really soon Smile

Well, 2 months is still pretty young to be sleeping through the night - though I understand!  I work full time, so it was hard when Sienna was that age!  Swaddling and a white noise machine helped Sienna sleep when she was that age - she was always a pretty good sleeper with those!  We still use the white noise machine.

She's cutting molars right now, so we have been having sleepnig issues off and on lately!

Aw, cutting teeth is hard, with my first born we didn't really have any problems. I think he was sleeping through the night at 3 months. He slept on me the first 3 months and then in a basinett. Now with Kristofer being as my husband is in Pakistan and I am living with my in laws, I have to have him in his own bed. I am hopeful that he will soon start sleeping more than 2-3 hours at a time. I thought by baby#2 things will get easier but they don't :)

These molars are just giving her a really hard time, but she's slept the last couple nights with no problems so we'll see...that must be hard to be raising two small children with your husband gone!  Are you in-laws able to help you out somewhat?  How long will your hubby be gone?

Aww, poor thing, I hope she continues to do well for you at night. My husband will be gone until August. He is in the State Dpeartment and he is in an anacompanied tour for a year. He gets to come home in the beginning of January and then we will meet up in my home country Cyprus in June. We get 3 weeks so that's better than nothing. I am currently living with my in laws and have been since August and they have been so supportive and helpful I honestly don't know how I would have managed without them. I am glad they offered to let me stay with them.

I must have jinxed myself...Sienna was up at 1:45 this morning.  I comforted her for a few minutes and she went right back to sleep though!  How is your 4 year old doing with the new baby?

At least you get to see your husband a few times while he's gone.  When you go to Cyprus in June will you bring the kids?  Or will it be just the two of you?  so, you're originally from Cyprus?  Did you grow up there and then move to the US?

Oh no, glad to see that she was able to fall asleep so quickly!!! I try to do that with Kristofer and sometimes I am successful. Most times I am not :P Jerrin has been doing really well with the new baby and I must admit I am very surprised over that. He has taken his role as a big brother very serious and he is oh so loving toward him. It's kind of sweet seeing them together.

I actually get to see him twice, in about 10 day and then in Cyprus. My in laws will be making the trip there with me to help me out with the kids. They are not too fond of me traveling alone with 2 kids so they are coming with us to help me out with the kids. They have never been there so it will be fun even though they are only staying for a week. Not really worth spending all that money for a week but that's how long they can stay.

I am originally from there and came in the States about 11 years ago to go to college and kind of never left. My husband's sister and I went to graduate school together and she was begging me to go out with him and when I did it, that was it. 6 months after we met we got married and have been married for the last 6 years.

We always rocked Sienna to sleep until she was about 9 months old and then she finally learned to to sleep on her own (after a few nights of crying it out!)  I should have been trying to teach her that sooner, but you know how it goes.  She's slept OK the last 3 nights, so let's hope she keeps it up.  I felt the corner of one of her bottom molars today (finally). That's 2 molars that have broken through, so 2 more to go!

I bet you're getting excited to see your husband...if you have a 8 week old and your husbands been gone since August has he ever seen the baby?

That is funny that your husband's sister set you guys up - my husband's sister and my sister were best friends in school and they set us up.  We dated for a year and then married.

I like your spelling of Kristofer - and Jerrin is a cool name...never heard it before.
