| About what age do they start holding their own bottles? And can you do anything to help them learn to hold it? |

| Hi, my daughter didn't start holding her own bottle until she was probably about 10 or 11 months old (I would have to look in her baby book for exact time). I am not sure there is much you can do to speed that along. It just seemed as though one day she started doing it. Which is actually a huge help!! |

| Mackenzie just turned 4 months. she only holds her bottle sometimes. Usually I place her hands around it, but still hold it up for her. (Although I did just start giving her a bottle, up until she was 16 weeks I nursed her.) |

| my daughter never held her bottle but she also didnt want it anymore once she turned 11 months old so i am not to disappointed because she never got attached to it. but she would hold a sippy cup at 6 months old. |

| My son is 5 months old and he is holding his bottle a little. He's had at least one bottle a day since he was born (needed that daddy bonding time) and he started to grasp the bottle during feeding about a couple of weeks ago. He can now hold it a little, but just long enough for me to scratch my nose or something. |

| My son just started to hold his own bottle at 11 months. I think he was capable before then, but he has a stubborn side to him. He'd rather have it held for him. |

| My son never held his bottle. I did all the feedings holding it for him, he would put his hands on it and sort of hold it but never really, he was never one of these kids that walked around with it but when I took him off the bottle that was it, he never even gave it a second thought. |

| My son is 6 months old and has been holding the bottle for about a month now. Whenever i was feeding him i'd prop the bottle against my collarbone and pull his hand up on it. I hope this helps!! |
