I used to feel guilty anytime my kids were gone for more than five minutes...we are told that good moms cannot stand the idea of being away from their kids, but I think that is unfair. No matter who it is we all need a break from the ones we love...parents, friends, significant other and kids. It gives us time to relax, and take a deep breath...and remember how much we really love them. |

It's not wrong to feel bad. Everyone needs a break now and then. I feel so guilty sometimes just taking a couple of hours. I don't think you're feeling bad because you needed a break. I think you're feeling bad because you miss him. Four days is a long time. Give yourself this much needed break and you will be more ready for him when he comes home. |

I have four very small children and after getting used to the idea of leaving them with someone else, i find that i actually enjoy me time. |
