Mamas boy

My son and his father don't have much of a relationship and now we live in different states my son doesn't have interest in his dad but my question is, is it normal for boys to try to make the decisions and tell mom what she can and can't do. Is he trying to be the man of the house? He loves his mommy dearly and doesn't like to "let" mom go out with friends he's fine going to school going to grandparents or friends house but I should always stay home. Is that normal desires for him?

Hi Jasmin, I think that there are different factors happening her. Depending on his age it might be something they all go through. My son now 5 has been going through something just like this. He says he's the boss. At first it was funny, but now he gets serious. Another reason adding to it is probably because his father left. "If mom goes out she may never come back for me." He seems angry from what you have said about his lack of desire to have a relationship with his dad.
