hello
I am a mother of 2 toddlers and I've never been so stressed!!
I have a 2.5 boy and a 16 mo old girl. They are complete oppisites and are tending to be very high maintance. I am currently looking for advice on disiplining and potty training. I've read all the books and have felt like I tried everything. I'm just looking for something that might work. Thanks

I FEEL YOUR PAIN!! When I was potting training my son who is now 21/2 it was not eaisy. I tried everything - here is what worked for me. He had absolutley no interest in the potty. I started him out on his own potty and sitting down. everytime he went potty he got one piece of chocolate and when he went # 2 he got 2 pieces of chocolate.(this was the only time he got candy) After the first couple of weeks I stoped putting diapers on him and let him streak or wear "big boy pants" during the day when I was home - I found that he was less prone to accidents this way. It took about 3 months of persistance. In the begining I would set my timer and put him on the potty every 45 minutes. I honestly never thought It was going to work. Now however, he is going in the big potty and he even lifts the toliet seat- and without the chocolate.
My daughter, however was very simple - she wanted to use the potty at 18 months. I would have never imagined my son would have been so difficult.

BEST OF LUCK TO YOU !!
