Flu and swine flu vaccines

I just found out my 8y/o nephew had been exposed to someone who has the swine flu.  He doesn't have any symptoms as of yet but he has been around my 10 month daughter a lot.  I just don't know how much I should be worried about my daughter getting it now.  She just got her flu vaccine and wasn't planning on giving her the vaccine for the swine flu but now I'm second guessing.  I never even get the flu vaccine myself but am also reconsidering.  Does anyone know much about the swine flu and vaccine?  Has anyone given it to their child yet?

Hello,

I'm new to this website and group.  As a Pediatric Nurse, I will not be giving my child or myself the H1N1 vaccine.  The regular seasonal flu vaccine we will both be getting.  I personally feel that the Swine flu vaccine is too new and the effects from it aren't known well enough.  The swine flu really isn't all that different from the seasonal flu...all the hype is because it's something new, and it's a virus that up until now has only been seen in pigs.  All you can do for a virus is give tylenol to reduce a fever, give extra fluids to prevent dehydration, and rest and relaxation and give it time to pass!  Just use good hygiene practices with lots of handwashing and sanitizers, cover your mouth when you cough and sneeze....and hope for the best!

I wasnt going to get my daughter the Swine flu vaccine, but now my boss's kid has it and my babysitter is out sick two days in a row.  I am now second guessing the decision.  She has had diaria all day(8diapers) and just threw up a little water when i put her in bed.  She had bad diaria when she got her first set of molars and the second set is coming in.  I am now parinoid....
