Men who cuss in front of children
How do you feel on this subject? My man cusses in front of our children and when I ask him to stop he thinks it is funny and starts saying crazy phrases or incoorporates them into nursery rhymes and so forth... So Ladies where do you stand on this issue?

I know this is an old message, but I have to say something!

That's nuts! I think that's totally inappropriate! No matter how old the kids are. I think we all know that they are our little mirrors and a dirty nursery rhyme is probably the last thing a mother wants to hear her child say in public. Or a swear word for that matter... nothing like going through the grocery store with your two your old chanting swear words!

We both do our best not to swear. But sometimes it slips and I hope it wasn't loud enough for anyone to hear. It's an ongoing thing.

When I was pregnant I shared my parenting ideas and goals and I thought we were on the same page, but as time has passed, I see that we aren't. I don't think we ever were. But I won't bend on many things and I stick to my guns about it. Despite the fact that our relationship isn't healthy, I will do my best to remain true to my values and beliefs, pass those on to our son and hope to get out soon.

I hope this has changed for you. Having your parenting choices mocked isn't fun and it doesn't feel good. It's insulting and belittling.
