Re: hairloss in girls

My daughter is 3 months and I noticed that her hair is starting to come out at the top and a little on one side.  Has anyone had this problem before? If so, what causes it and how long does it take to grow back? I plan to speak to her pediatrician about it soon.  Thanks for any advice.

I'm pretty sure thats normal for girls and boys.  My son lost hair on the top and some on the back of his head but had hair on the sides...to me for a while he looked like a old man :) BUT by the time he was 5months he had enough hair for me to make a little hohawk(check my pictures out) BUT if you are worried then I would talk to her pedi

When my son was born a year and a half ago, he had a full head of hair.  I was told that it's normal, if it falls out, not to worry.  Lucky for me, he only lost a little at the back of his head for a couple months, because of sleeping on his back most of the time.

I think it's normal for her to be losing her baby hair.  Some babies lose more than others.  My daughter had a big bald spot on the back of her head for quite a while - I think she was wearing it off from laying on her back, but I remember one morning I went to get her up and there was a little pile of hair left on her mattress!

IT is totally normal for babies to loose the hair on the first few moths of life.  It gives turn for the new hair to grow thick and more permanent.  My daughter lost her hair in the first month, I saw them in her baby hats, then by her 4th month her new hair grew back and a lot.
