Cosleeping Babywearing Breastfeeding
Public online group

Introduction

My name is Elvira.  I am a homeschooling Mom to 4 boys.  My youngest is 13 months.  We breastfeed, co-sleep, baby wear, cloth diaper (most of the time).  We were lucky to have an all natural birth with a midwife in a nearby Hospital.  I had wanted a homebirth this time around, but it's not legal where I live.

Anyway...Just wanted to say hello!

Hi there!

I'm new to some of the new lingo, what does "baby wear" mean?

Trying to figure out some of the abreviations in people's conversations too. I guess I will catch on eventually! he he he he he

Thanks!

Baby wearing is basically wearing your child in a sling all the time.  There are various types of slings to use.  It's a big part of attachment parenting.

Baby wearing is the easiest way to effectively parent, and get stuff done at the same time. It keeps your child close, and usually has a calming effect on a fussy baby. The best sling I have found is the Moby wrap. It looks complicated, but is really not, its comfortable and washable, and it packs up nice when you are going out.
