New to the group

Hi everybody. I thought this would be a great group to join. I am a full-time working mom of a 9-month old. I am still breastfeeding as well, expressing once at work and feeding at home 3 times. I find it very challenging to work and take care of the baby because of all the stress at work and during commute. I work in New York City and have to commute back and forth to Brooklyn 3 hours a day on average. I feel like it is not fair to my baby that I am so stresses. Of course, I never take it out on her, but I do take it out on my husband sometimes and I just always feel on edge. I do my best to relax and not to feel this way. I am eternally greatful for my baby girl and my husband and for my job as well in this economy, but I do wish that I could spend more time with my little one.

Just sharing because I know I am far from being the only one in this situation and feeling this way.

Hello Anastasia -

I am new to the group as well, so I just wanted to say hi.  I feel your pain, although I live in Denver and my commute is only about 2 hours total each day ... and I'm not breastfeeding.  Time has become such a valuable commodity since my son was born one year ago ... I wish I had some good advice for you but I am struggling with many of the same feelings.  I have received some really good ideas from other members though and I hope you will too Wink
