"Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light"
(Mic. 7:8)
When have you had the enemy standing over you and gloating? What do you do (or wish that you would do) in times like this?
When thinking about the discussion of the week I alway want to make it something that goes along with what we have been talk about lately. So I read this verse I knew that this was God speaking to me. It doesn't say that we will not fall but that we WILL rise. And it doesn't say that we won't be in darkness. What it does say is the Lord will be your light. How true this is but how easy it is to forget.
When I read this the ! stuck out for me. He was telling his enemy how it was. With attority. Get way from me! Don't laugh at me! You are nothing!
Who was his enemy? Who is our enemy? The first thoughts that come to mind is that bad driver riding to close to you or the people who don't like you for whatever reason. But is it really them. No it's not is it. The devil, the evil one, that is our enemy. He is everyones enemy. We have all fallen short because our enemy is smart. He never rest and he knows our fears. He's after you, not because he can take your salvation but he wants to steal your happiness and lead you away from the will of God. But it's not just you and me that he's doing this to. He is doing this to everyone.
We have the Lord to help us through but think of the millions of people who don't. It's hard for us, think how hard it is for them.
What can we do? Sure we can tell them about God and Jesus Christ but most of them have already heard. So what do we do? The answer lies is what Jesus say in Matthew 22:39. "You should love your neighbor as yourself" He didn't say those that love you or only nice people. We are all on the same boat here. We have all sinned. Lets pray for those who hurt us. Forgive them so that they might be forgiven by God, so that we can be forgiven by God. The devil wants us to hold hate and unforgiveness in our hearts because he knows that it pushes us alittle farther away from God. Lets not let him do this to us any longer.
Here is a big question how do you love someone that isn't loveable. Remember the Love is patient, love is kind,.... It never says that it is something you feel inside, those all warm and fuzzy feelings. Its an action, it's a choice, and it's a lifestyle. Just like lossing weight and staying fit.
I pray Father that you give me and everyone in this group the strenght to love all our neighbors the way you talk about in the Bible. Let us be lights for you so that others will see you in our actions and you will recieve glory. Let me not do it for my own glory but for yours Lord. I offer my life in worship and sacrife to you as I love the ones you love, which is everyone. If I hold any hate or unforgiveness in my heart Lord I ask that you show it to me so that i can clean it out. Spring cleaning, you could say. Thank you Lord for your love for me and for give us your son so that we could be renewed and made clean. Blessed is your name above all others.

| well iam new to the group my name is charmaine iam a christian and iam having a rought time right now eveyone is getting on my nerouvs i know it is becuse i havent been going to church we just moved to colorado we have no friends yet when we get settle i know we will so just pray for me i need it thx |
