My name is Donna my husband is Harold and our daugther is Bernadette she is 22 months old and we adopted her from China 6 months ago.  She is our only child and we are older parents 40's.  We want to find families who have children her age or little older that she can have playtime with.  We are both working and have family members helping with babysitting and she is not getting enough interaction with other children.  She does very well around other children when we take her to our church daycare on Sundays and loves having the time to play with the other children.  My husband has Mondays off and likes to get her out to play on those days.   We are also looking for someone who might want to swap one day of the week where we could take care of their child on a Monday and find someone who would watch Bernadette on a Friday again this is so she has more interaction with children around her age.

Hi Donna, nice to meet you.  I am always so happy to meet a fellow adoptive parent who adopted from China.  To me they are the cutest kids on the planet.  I think the age difference between my youngest and yours may be too much for a playgroup, as she is almost 7 now.  She is in first grade so she would not be home during the day.  However, if you are interested in maybe getting our families together for a dinner or a brunch sometime I think that would be fun.  The kids could play a bit and we could swap stories.  I am always on the lookout for adoptive moms for friends.  Let me know!
