bottles
I'm having problems with the bottles I'm using.... they leak a lot. any suggestions on a good bottle that does leak during feedings and after you change nipples. i feel like I'm spending a fortune on bottles and i can't afford to do that. thanks.

i have the same problem. the only bottles that dont leak on me are the glass bottles by evenflo which i only use at home because its glass (my husband is afraid of plastic) but when i go out and use plastic and i bought a bunch of different ones, they all leak. when you find the answer, let me know.

ladies I have never had a bottle leak. Back when my son used a bottle I used dr browns and he loved them and so did i . What brands are u using that are doing this ? U should return them to the store. They should not do that. also be sure not to over fill the bottles also.

I use Avent, and they have leaked a couple times, but if I take the lid and nipple apart and put it back on it stopped leaking. I think it was because it wasn't in correctly. They really are good bottles. I agree that if the bottles continue to leak you should return them because they shouldn't do that.

I've been using the Nuk orthodonic bottles and haven't had any problems with leakage. We tried Vent-Aire but they did leak occaisionally if they weren't put together just right. You may want to make sure it isn't the nipple leaking if the flow is too strong for the baby. Good luck!

I use Avent too, and I think they are great. I started using the playtex ventair and the drop in liners, they were horrable. I have had the Avent leak, but I also would take the nipple out and put it in again. Emilie seems to like these better and she had a lot less gas.

thanks everyone the problem I'm having is when she's drinking the bottle it leaks from her mouth with a slow flow nipple. the bottles i use are gerber which were great untill i had to replace the nipple; luv n care a company of nuby, and parent choice. maybe this is what I get for using cheaper bottles.

I use DR BROWN!. They are really good bottles. It helpe them to prevent colics. Try them. THey have 2 diferent tipes of bottles in case your baby is using a particular tipe of nipple.

sounds like you have a leaky baby, just kidding. I had that problem too. I used some cloth diapers under her chin to soak it up and soak up any spit up. Most stores carry them they are about 10 bucks for a pack of 10.

I use the glass evenflo bottles and had the problem of leaking when I was feeding, but once I realized how to put the nipples on correctly they didn't leak any more.

We used the Dr. Browns bottles and loved them, they never leaked. Plus the baby doesn't get extra air bubbles. Now My daughter is 15 months and uses the Dr. Browns Sippy cup which she loves!!!

I've had really good luck with the Playtex Vent Aire system. I really like the Avent Natural Flow bottles - they have four holes instead of one, so they are closer to breastfeeding (I keep these in my diaper bag). I wasn't keen on trying them at first, but I've found them to be a lifesaver in getting my son to bed - the Playtex drop ins. Using the bags. There are less parts to wash this way. I'm not sure what it is about them, but I was having trouble getting him to sleep after his nightly bottle when I was using the Vent Aires and once I switched to the drop-ins, I started having a hard time getting him to finish the bottle before he went to sleep.

I am like you ( still havent learned my lesson-trying to save money=) The best bottles by far.....DR BROWN'S. They are a bit pricey available at Target or Amazon.com.
