Hi! I am at the same weight as I was the last time I posted here...that was a few weeks ago. I guess that could be worse right. I have been side tracked with my studying but that's over now!!!
Back to getting my body back!!!
I am on the same program as Kelly Lee, minus the exercise for the past two weeks...I'll get to that starting tomorrow...
has anyone ever tried Hoodia? How about the new Alli program? I saw both these things at Costco today...I really want there to be a magic pill...
have a great weekend ladies! |

Hey! I want a magic pill, too!
I'm not impressed by what I read about the Alli program (it sure looks cute in it's little kit, though, doesn't it!). You still have to reduce your calories - and if you eat too much you're liable to have, um, . . . elimination issues.
I'm taking Hoodia right now and haven't noticed any difference. When I finish off what I have I won't be buying any more.
My weight's staying the same too. I still haven't made myself get on that treadmill!
You know what? I'd rather try to live on 300 calories per day than exercise - but I can't do that, so I'm going to have to get myself going. |

I haven't posted in awhile either. I have lost 10 pounds in the last month, which was a big surprise to me. I really haven't changed anything too drastically. I started watching what I eat, somewhat and eating meal replacement bars when I remember. They work fantastic!!! Just having a baby 11 1/2 weeks ago and having a 20 month old, keeps me rather busy! Just wanted to check in and say good luck to all of you and keep up the good work. I'll try and keep you updated more. Have a great weekend!! |

Hi Tara,
Alli is just a weaker version of a prescription medication. It pretty much works by decreasing fat absorption from your food intake. Therefore, you will only lose weight if you eat a diet low in fat and exercise. Studies have shown that it helps lose 50% more weight. So if you lost 1 lbs w/ diet and exercise, you would lose 1.5 lbs if you added Alli. Since your body aborb less fat, you are more likely to have diarrhea, which you may or may not be able to control. The more fat you consume, the more likely you will have the bloating and diarrhea. If you do decide to take Alli, make sure to take a multivitamin everyday since it decreases the absorption of fat soluble vitamins (vit A, D, K, and E). The studies also show that once people stopped Alli, they gained the weight back. I have not heard about Hoodia before so I can't tell you anything about it. I bet this is more information than you would like to know. In my opinion, there's no magic pill and I don't think Alli is worth the cost. |

Thanks Monique! They really did package it quite nicely huh? Holly, losing 10 lbs in a month is really awesome! I am getting back on track. My diet is still pretty good, I have the occasional Cookie or a bite of cherry Garcia...
I have a 2 yr old and a 10 month old Holly so I know what you mean when you say busy...It is really hard to exercise with them, I can't see paying a sitter right now, thet are hard to pack-up ya know? I am hoping to get my dbl stroller in soon, start walking again... |

Congrats, Holly on your loss! Wait a minute, don't we usually say, "I'm sorry for your loss?" Oh well - I've just attended too many funerals in the last couple of years.
However, Holly, I'm glad about your loss and maybe those pounds will stay buried.
Thanks, Monique, for the info on Alli. I didn't want to take the prescription version of it (I have enough g.i. problems without it) and I don't want to take the OTC version either!
