Hi Stacee, my daughter is 16 months and still has hers and I too would love to take them away. The only time I let her have them is at nap time and bed time. I say "them" because when she was younger she would lose them at night and I figured I would give her a few so that she would always be able to find one. She use to have one all the time, but I figured if I did away with them slowly she would start to adjust. Now I am ready to toss them all and I am scared about it. She is teething big time and waking at night again so now I feel that by taking them away at this point would only make bed time worse. Most of the time she only plays with them. The only advise I can offer is to wean. I would limit passy time to naps and bed time. He may fight it for a few days, but he will grow use to it. If you or anyone else should have any advise I too would love some as I am in the same perdicament.

Super Nanny has some great suggestions on ways to get rid of pacifiers. Like "giving them to babies who need them because you are a big girl/boy now". Or having the Passy Fairy come and take them all and leave a big girl/boy present in its place. Or, you can just plan for a week that you are going to go cold turkey, so that mentally you will be prepared for fits and sleepless nights.
