starting to eat cereal

A lot of people have been telling me to start feeding my four month old cereal. I wanted to at what age you started to feed your kid cereal and what a good brand is.

thank you so much

i actually started SUPER early. cereal was introduced at (if i can remember correctly, it's been a little while) about 1.5 months. i put a pinch of it in their bottles. my family is jamaican and their father's family is from haiti. we use different things to help different things. we believed that if you put it in the bottle, almost like a small pinch of salt on food, it helps the child sleep and become accustom to solids. my boys slept through the night the first time it was given to them and have always been super eaters! they were so much less cranky and have always been wonderful sleepers. as they got older, the amount increased. i stuck with organic when i could afford it, and used gerber any other time.

We started my little ones on cereal at about 4 1/2 or 5 mo. We used Gerber. I think they preferred the rice cereal best. We didn't put it in their bottles, but spoonfed instead. Good luck!

Thank you for taking some time out to answer my question. I will try organic cereal first but I will also try gerber since I have heard from a lot of people it is great for infants.

Thanks again
