My daughter is almost 11 weeks old and I haven't had a chance to thank all the wonderful people who gave us gifts for the baby. However, with so many people to write I was looking for a shortcut. Would it be horribly inappropriate to send a form letter type thank you to all our family & friends? The number of people we have to write is quite daunting. Any thoughts? |

I think it depends on how your friends and family are. I know based on the family I have, they would be offended if I didn't actually thank them. It is kinda like you didn't take the time to remember what they got you and acknowledge them for everything, but they took the time for you. On the other hand, they are probably already thinking that they are not getting anything if it has been this long, so they might appreciate the letter. Its a tough call. |

My daughter was the first grandbaby and first great grandbaby on both sides, needless to say, my baby shower was HUGE! It took me about 5 weeks to write out all the thank you notes. I tried to write a few everyday. It is a hard call to make, depending on how your family and friends would react. Good Luck |

i know that some people put a picture on the computer and have CVS or something like that make a bunch of cards with the picture on it saying something like.... Thank you for your generous gift, love always and then the babys name, birthdate, and weight on it. they make as many as you want, i think they even do labels for the addresses so you may want to consider that and perhaps for the really close people like parents and siblings and godparents if there are any, you can write a personal note. |
