Meeting Place
Public group from Elkhart, IN

hi

I am new to the area and would love to meet up with other Mom's here.

I am not new to the area, but am originally from Mishawaka, and now live in Elkhart.  I am looking for other moms who want to meet for moms nights out, or just to meet up with the kids.  Just looking to find people to relate to, chat with, and find support through.

Rebecca,

I am looking for that too.  I would love to meet up with you sometime to let the kids play.  I have an almost 7 year old girl, 4 1/2 year old boy and a 2 year old boy.

Rachael, That sounds fun to me.  My sons are 2 1/2 and 7 1/2 months.  Where do you live?  We could meet at a restaurant like McDonalds or at a park, weather permitting.

Rebecca,

Any day is good for me during the week.  I just have to be back home by 2:30 for my daughter to be home from school.  What times are best for you?  We live in Mishawaka near Walmart and McDonalds.  Let me know when you would like to meet up and get the kids together to play.

I am in Elkhart, but two days a week, (Tuesdays and Thursdays) I'm in Mishawaka helping my mom with her daycare, school pickup, etc.  So, although I'm over there, those days probably aren't the best for me.  That leaves Mon/Wed/Fri that work for me.  I think any of those are fine, but I would probably prefer mornings and lunch time because I'd have to get back home for afternoon napping...or I can go to my moms for the naps, which is fine.  Right now, both of my kids are getting over colds/stuffy noses/etc., so hopefully, they'll be better by Wednesday....either Friday works for me, or we can wait until next week sometime.  What do you think?

Rebecca,

Next week sounds great.  I am trying to get over some sinus stuff right now.  What about lunch time at McDonalds?  I am good any of those days.

I used to work at a Mother's Day Out program back in MS and am looking for one here to work part time do you know of any?  I would need to bring my boys with me and have no clue of where to start looking.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Next week sounds great!  Since Monday is Labor Day, my husband is off work, but Wednesday or Friday would work for me.  Are you talking about the McDonalds by the Wal-Mart there off of Grape Road - on Indian Ridge?

I will get to thinking about the part time thing.  I myself have been looking for some part time work, but in Elkhart, things are super tough right now with all the layoffs everywhere.

Let me know what you think about next week, which ever day would work best for you.

Rachael,

Do you have a separate email we could communicate through?  My computer doesn't like this system very well.  My email is littleb31@yahoo.com.  Otherwise, we'll just work through it.

Rebecca,

Wednesday would work for me.  I am thinking of the McDonald's off of Grape Rd.  We have been here for a month now and I really need to find a part time job.  The extra income would be great and for me to get out of the house and around adults.
