Laura
I'm not sure what the rule is for 2+ yr olds and foods
but talk tpo your pedi about maybe adding a little choc. or strawberry powder or syrup to it ... just a little so he can taste it and maybe he will like it ...

GOOD LUCK

Laura, if he is getting calcium from other sources, then don't worry if he won't drink milk. Maybe he just doesn't like the taste. Other good sources fo calcium ar spinach and brocoli, and cheese, of course. You could also try calcium fortified orange juice. You could try a drop of food coloring in the milk to make it fun for him. But I don't think it's as important how he gets his calcium, as long as he gets it.

my daughter didn't like to eat or drink anything healthy at that age, until her dad started using reverse psychology on her. He would always joke around and tell he she couldn't get bigger than her brother if she didn't eat her veggies or drink her milk. She thought it was so funny, and now at 3 it's a big joke in our family and her and her 4 year old brother joke with us now saying, "we're going to grow" as they take a big bite. She also is very sensitive with textures and such. It really isn't that she doesn't like the flavor, it's the texture. She liked her milk warm, not cold, and she still does. If you always gave your son a warm bottle, he may perfer his milk warmer as well.

My son has texture issues as well.
There is this amazing instant breakfast, carnation makes it..the vanills seems to be my 16 months favorite..it has 2 x's the protein than an egg..I think thats what it said. Anyhow it is a powder you add to milk
my Ped. recommended it, my guy is on the slim side, this is great for calories as well, the warm milk is a good idea, I did that for my 3 yr old for awhile...now he is great with any temp. Good luck, My son is such a PICKY eater..I would be thrilled if he was disturbed about drinking milk straight. You sound like a great mom, keep up the awesume job. :)

Laura,

Could it be that it is to thick for him. How about 1% or Skim?
